2016年统计学研究生暑期学校

Using School of Mathematics & Statistics and Institute of Big Data of Yunnan University as an academic platform, this project will hold 2016 graduate summer school which is supported by Tianyuan Foundation of NSFC. Focused on the basic theory and hotspot problems in statistics, this summer school will offer two core course including linear regression model and multivariate statistical analysis, and three special lectures including large data analysis foundation, quantile regression and mixture models. By making full use of the high quality educational resources in the international statistical society, these courses will help the students to understand and grasp the basic theories of modern statistics and the latest achievements in the era of big data, build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between students and the international first-class statistical experts, enhance students’ ability of scientific research innovation, promote academic communications among different regions and different institutes, and eventually reach the purpose of promoting the further development of statistics in China.

本项目以云南大学数学与统计学院和大数据研究院为平台，承办2016年数学天元基金统计学研究生暑期学校。本次暑期学校将围绕着基础理论和前沿热点问题，开设线性模型和多元统计分析两门核心课程，以及大数据分析基础、分位数回归和混合模型三门专题讲座。本次暑期学校将充分利用当前国际统计学界优质的产学研相结合的教育资源，帮助学员了解和掌握大数据时代下现代统计学的基本理论和最新成果；为学员与国际一流专家之间搭建一个交流与合作平台，提升科研创新能力；促进不同区域、不同学校之间的学术交流，提高研究生教育的质量；最终达到推动国内统计学科的进一步发展的目的。
